Now Hiring: ASN Assistant Tutor

We’re excited to be recruiting two Assistant Tutors to work alongside our lead tutor, Seán Gray, supporting the delivery of traditional music sessions for pupils with additional support needs at Riverbrae and Mary Russell Schools in Renfrewshire.

This is an ideal opportunity for musicians with an interest in traditional music and Gaelic culture who are passionate about working with young people and keen to gain hands-on experience in inclusive education settings.

Each Assistant Tutor will be assigned to one of the second or third school terms, taking part in a structured 4-week training block to build experience in inclusive teaching methods tailored to ASN settings.

Job Details

  • Position: Assistant Tutor
  • Rate: £44 p/h + reasonable travel expenses
  • Schedule: Wednesdays (TBC) – for a 4-week block during either the January–March 2026 term or April–June 2026 term

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Interest in traditional music and/or Gaelic culture.
  • Positive, flexible attitude towards inclusive learning environments.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt teaching approaches.
  • Some previous experience working with children and young people (desirable but not
    essential).
