Are you a talented tune-writer? Do you have what it takes to create the soundtrack for this year’s Mòd? We’re looking for a local musician to compose the official tune for this year’s Royal National Mòd coming to Paisley!

To enter, simply submit an original tune that embodies the spirit of the Royal National Mòd. We’re looking for something that captures the energy and passion of this important cultural event, while also showcasing your unique musical style. Be creative and consider what the Mòd represents and will bring to the town this year. You’ll also need a tune title – something that reflects Gaelic, Paisley & the Mòd!

The winning tune-writer will receive a cash prize of £200 and the opportunity to have their composition featured as part of a large-scale concert at the Mòd.

Email a manuscript of your composition to info@feisphaislig.com with the subject ‘Mòd Phàislig 2023 Composition’. Do not put your name on the manuscript as the judging will be anonymous. It would be useful if you could include some audio of the tune being played – a voice note or similar would suffice – although this is not essential. Please also include a cover letter with your full contact details, as well as any information you feel is necessary.
