Save the Date • Fèis Week 2024 – 16th-19th July
Johnstone High School
Participants will experience different elements of our main Fèis event, giving them a fun and engaging taste of traditional music, song dance and art. Across the first three days, we offer two sessions as follows:
- Morning (10.00-12.00) – English with Gaelic (open to all)
- Afternoon (14.00-16.00) – Gaelic-medium session (only for pupils in Gaelic Medium Education)
Participants should attend either the morning or afternoon session – you will be able to select which session you wish to attend when signing up.
On the last day – Friday 21st – all participants will attend the morning session from 10.00 with a short performance for invited friends and family before lunchtime. Our Fèis Bheag session will finish at midday on Friday 21st.
All of our tutors are experienced, professional musicians, skilled in working with young people. We also have a pool of supervisors and volunteers who help our events run smoothly. Young people are supervised at all times and we work in accordance with Child Protection and Health & Safety Guidelines. Our staff are all members of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme administered by Disclosure Scotland.

Price for 4 days, including Fèis t-shirt = £60
We work hard to keep access open to all young people and are fortunate to secure public funding to support our events. Places at our events are subsidised wherever possible with the true cost of each place being much higher.
A number of funded places are available for those who are in receipt of a clothing grant and / or free school meals (proof of confirmation required). Tick the relevant box on our application form to make an application to this scheme.
