Depute Provost congratulates Gaelic Choir
Our Còisir Ghàidhlig // Gaelic Choir were delighted to welcome Depute Provost Councillor Cathy McEwan on Tuesday 25th November to celebrate their recent victory at the Mòd.
Our Gaelic Choir had a fantastic time at the Royal National Mòd in Fort William, coming 1st in the Under 13 Choral Unison Learners section. They earned top marks in both Gaelic and music, and walked away with all three awards on offer: the Donald and Mamie MacPhail Trophy, the Darlington Society Silver Jubilee Trophy and the Morag Robb Memorial Trophy.
Councillor McEwan kindly presented medals to our talented participants as Karen, our Chairperson offered her congratulations. Our young performers treated them to a rendition of their winning song Till an Crodh, a Dhòmhnaill, plus a festive Christmas tune to get into the Christmas spirit!
A huge thanks to Renfrewshire Council for their ongoing support to make the project possible!
