Spotlight: GloWorm Recording

This year, at our 10th annual Fèis Week, we were delighted to welcome Erin McHugh as our music production tutor. Erin, who works at GloWorm Recording, not only brought her expertise to the week but also helped make the event possible through GloWorm’s support with equipment hire.

Based in the centre of Glasgow, GloWorm Recording is a high-end recording, mixing, and mastering studio. Well known in the folk scene, they’ve worked with some of Scotland’s most popular artists, including Runrig, Siobhan Miller, Talisk, and Breabach. You can find more about GloWorm on their website.

Throughout Fèis Week, our music production classes worked together to capture sounds from all around the event, which they then edited and mixed into exciting original tracks. They even experimented with recording underwater! You can listen to their creations now on SoundCloud.
