Fun and dancing for Seachdain na Gàidhlig
The recent Seachdain na Gàidhlig, aimed at increasing the use of the Gaelic language around the world, was celebrated in Paisley by a successful Fèis Phàislig Family Ceilidh event. The ceilidh was a huge success, drawing in families from across Renfrewshire and beyond to take part in the festivities.
With live music and dancing, families were able to try out some Gaelic and have fun in a friendly and welcoming environment. The event also saw the debut performance of the Fèis Phàislig Gaelic Choir, who performed to an enthusiastic audience, and the launch of our online resource celebrating the work of “The Paisley Bard”, Dòmhnall ‘Ruadh’ MacIntyre.
The event was organised with the generous support of Bòrd na Gàidhlig and the SnG Small Grants Fund, with the hope that this will now become an annual event in our calendar.
