Renfrew Library Hosts Musical St. Andrew’s Day Celebration with Grant & Ron
In celebration of Scottish culture, Renfrew Library recently played host to an engaging St. Andrew’s Day session led by two of our talented tutors, Grant and Ron. The event, made possible through the support of Renfrewshire Council, welcomed local families and nurseries for an immersive experience in the world of trad music and culture.
Our tutors, Grant and Ron, captivated the audience with a diverse showcase of different musical instruments, fostering an exciting atmosphere of exploration for the early-years participants. Families and young ones alike eagerly participated in group singing, learning a Scottish song – dance moves included!
One of the highlights of the day was the introduction of a traditional ceilidh dance, bringing the joy of Scottish dancing to the heart of the community. Laughter and excitement filled the air as parents, carers, and their little ones joined in the lively celebration.
The success of the event was a testament to the power of community engagement, with Renfrewshire Council’s invaluable support ensuring that this unique and enriching experience was accessible to all. The library transformed into a vibrant hub of cultural celebration, fostering a sense of togetherness and appreciation for Scotland’s rich heritage.
