Burns Night Family Ceilidh: A Night to Remember!
We had a brilliant night at our Burns Night Family Ceilidh at the Prince of Wales Social Club. Over 100 people, young and old, came together to join in an evening filled with lively music, dancing, and a warm sense of community.
The tunes were kept going throughout the night with Scotia Ceilidh Band. Dancers were treated to traditional ceilidh dances as well as some less common dances everybody learned together. And what good ceilidh is complete without a raffle?! We had around 20 prizes generously donated from our Fèis community and attendees – a big thank you to everybody who contributed or bought raffle tickets.
As the night came to an end, everybody joined together in a rousing rendition of the Burns classic, ‘Auld Lang Syne’ – a fitting end to the night.
This event was made possible through the support of Renfrewshire Council and the Renfrew Local Partnership Group. All proceeds from the evening will directly contribute to our Fèis programme of events, supporting and enriching the lives of young people within Renfrewshire.
Stay tuned for more upcoming events later this year!
