Exciting Opportunity: Fèis Bheag Tutor for 2024/25 Weekly Lessons
Fèis Phàislig is thrilled to announce a new opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Fèis Bheag Tutor to join our team for the 2024/25 academic year. Established in November 2014, Fèis Phàislig is committed to providing traditional music opportunities for young people in Renfrewshire. We offer a comprehensive year-round programme, including our popular Weekly Lessons held on Saturday mornings during term time.
Position Details:
- Role: Fèis Bheag Tutor
- Rate: £40.50 per hour + reasonable travel expenses
- Time: 10am-1pm (with the possibility of extending to 2pm based on demand)
- Location: West Primary School, Paisley
- Start Date: September 2024
Our Fèis Bheag sessions cater to children aged 5-7, providing a fun and immersive experience in traditional music, song, arts and crafts, and dance. Sessions are tailored to different groups, with options for Gaelic-medium education delivered fully in Gaelic, and sessions in English with elements of Gaelic for those with little to no experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver 33 engaging sessions throughout the year.
- Implement Fèis Phàislig’s Child Protection Policy, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
- Maintain attendance records and liaise with parents/guardians to provide updates and information.
- Attend to all reasonable matters required for the success of the program.
