Summer Concert Success!
On Saturday, 22nd June, we marked the end of our 2023-24 Weekly Lessons programme with a spectacular Summer Concert. Held at Gleniffer High School, the event showcased a fantastic afternoon of music and song from our young participants.
The concert featured performances from all our instrumental learners who attend weekly sessions for accordion, fiddle, and guitar. Our youngest learners from Fèis Bheag (Wee Fèis) shared a set of Puirt-a-beul, showcasing their impressive Gaelic skills.
A special thank you goes out to the 200+ friends and family members who joined us, giving our participants such a warm and enthusiastic reception. A huge thanks to the janitorial staff at Gleniffer High School for their support also.
Our gratitude extends to our funders, Fèisean nan Gàidheal and Renfrewshire Council, for their ongoing support of the project. Their contributions are vital in making these opportunities possible for our young musicians.
Looking ahead, our Weekly Lessons will resume in early September, with applications for newstart places opening soon. We encourage all newstart instrumental learners to sign up for our free come-and-try day on Sunday, 18th August. For more information, please visit our Weekly Lessons info page.
Thank you once again to everyone who made the Summer Concert such a memorable and successful event. We look forward to seeing you all again in the new term!
