Weekly Lessons Participants Showcase Their Talents
Our Weekly Lessons participants showcased their talents at our end-of-term concert in December. Over 80 young people shared tunes and songs they had been learning across our first term for over 200 family and friends who joined us at Gleniffer High School.
Participants from our instrumental classes (8-18years) shared tunes in their class groups on accordion, fiddle and guitar. The audience were also treated to larger group performances where the classes came together to share music they’d been working on with the other instruments.
Our Fèis Bheag participants (5-7years) also gave a brilliant performance, sharing their song ‘Bodach Mòr na Nollaig’. Led by Kaitlin Ross, our young learners enthusiastically took to the stage and had a brilliant reception from our audience.
We’d like to thank everybody that came along to support the event and to those who gave so generously on-the-door and through our raffle. We sold out of our limited edition tote bags and again, would like to thank everybody for purchasing our merch so generously. All proceeds go back in to our year-round programme and supporting young people to learn.
